Wig Care Guide
Wig Care Instructions
Proper wig care helps keep your wig looking beautiful and feeling comfortable for longer. By following these simple steps, you can maintain the softness, shine, and shape of your wig, and extend its lifespan. Consistent care ensures your wig stays in great condition wear after wear.
-
Detangle – Detangle your wig gently with a wide-tooth comb or detangling brush.
-
Prepare Water – Fill a basin or sink with lukewarm water (not hot, as heat can damage fibres).
-
Shampoo – Wash with a small amount of moisturising sulfate-free and paraben-free salon quality shampoo. Hold the wig at the cap and swish gently to prevent hair knotting. Do not rub or twist. Avoid rubbing the lace area to ensure the knots do not loosen.
-
Rinse – Empty the basin and refill with clean lukewarm water. Rinse the wig until the water runs clear.
-
Condition (Optional) – Apply a sulfate-free and paraben-free conditioner to mid-lengths and ends, then rinse. For human hair wigs, we also recommend applying a deep-conditioning treatment every 2-3 washes to restore moisture in the hair.
-
Dry – Gently blot excess water with a towel (do not wring or twist). Place the wig on a stand to air dry away from direct heat or sunlight. Avoid blow-drying your wig to extend its life. If you do need to blow dry your human hair wig, use a suitable heat protectant product and a low heat setting.
- Style – Once completely dry, detangle gently with a wide-tooth comb or brush. Then simply style your wig as required! Remember to use a low heat setting (up to 160° for synthetic, and 180° for human hair).

Other Tips:
- We recommend washing your wig every 2-4 weeks, depending on how often you wear it.
- Avoid brushing your wig while it is wet as this can loosen the knots and cause the hair to shed.
- Storage: Store your wig on a wig stand or mannequin head out of direct sunlight, or in the satin care bag provided.
